I didn't mean for a whole MONTH to go by without pictures of my new sweet babe. SORRY guys!

We have been busy working on gaining weight (Kaden) and loosing weight (ME, only 4 pounds to go!).

Kade now weights 9 lbs 3 oz! He so much fun to have in our family-- we all LOVE him so much and smother him with daily kisses and squeezes.

Kaden loves to take baths, doesn't like his diaper changed, loves to eat-burp-then spit up, likes to smile for daddy, is a good sleeper and knows when it's night time, likes to be held upright on your shoulder, has loved the car seat so far, loves to be patted on the back, doesn't like "tummy time" so much, has a very strong neck and loves to look around at lights, and is very patient while big brother Brennen holds him and says "hi, hiii" over and over again.. all day :)

We have loved all the visitors and enjoyed going up to Loomis and Auburn for a week of family and pampering. Thank you! Grandma Wiest also just left Monterey and had a great time playing with her 2 grandsons-- thanks again.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HILARY!!!!!

Update....

Today is Hilary's Birthday!!! Hilary turned 25 years old today. Unfortunately, she had to celebrate her big day in a hospital gurney. However, we did try to make Hil's B-day a special one. Hilary's mom, Connie and sister, Briana made Hilary a birthday cake and brought it to the hospital. We had balloons and gifts for her to open today too. She also got more visitors which she very much appreciated. Hilary is doing much better and is looking forward to going home, which we hope will be tomorrow. Kaden is doing great. He is a strong nurser and continues to spoil us with his cuteness. I can't thank everyone enough for the help this weekend and for all the wonderful phone calls, emails, text messeges, and comments on our blog. We very much appreciate it. We do look forward to hopefully seeing everyone again soon.

A Very Special Christmas

You can believe it or not, but Brian, not Hilary is posting on this blog. Hilary is a little busy taking care of our new baby boy. On December 19, 2008 Kaden Jamison Wiest was born to us at 8:08 am. Hilary had a scheduled C-section at the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula. Everything went flawless and Kaden came to us completely perfect. He weighed in at 6 lbs 10 oz and 20.5 inches. He is doing fantastic and has mirrored his big brother when it comes to eating. He has taken right to breast feeding and has no lack of appetite. Brennen is taking the new addition well, holding and kissing his new brother. However, I don't think Brennen realizes yet Kaden will be coming home with us and his glory days of all the attention will soon be over. Hilary is recovering well. I have been very proud and impressed at how well she has handled the surgery as well as how well she has endured the overall pregnancy. She is a real trooper. Hilary and Kaden will be at the hospital in Monterey until at least Monday. For those who can, feel free to stop by for a visit. We would love to see you all. Merry Christmas everyone!

It's this Friday!!

The day that the Wiest family gets to meet our sweet Kaden Jamison Wiest.

The day that we no longer will have just ONE child.

The dreaded day of Hilary's cesarean section at 6:30 in the AM! (but I won't be prego anymore :) )

The wonderful morning that Brennen will meet his best friend for life and be forced to share Thomas the train f-o-r-e-v-e-r.

We are so grateful to add a baby boy to our family... which also means adding a studly soccer-pole vaulting-basketball-volleyball-swimming-football-outdoorsey-get down and dirty kinda kid.

And since Brian has NO idea how to blog or even login you may not be getting pictures of this cute babes on Friday-- give me a day to heal in the hospital, we'll bring our laptop, and (I'll) post asap.

I am also very excited to have my mom and sister Briana stay with us for a week, to see my in laws and 2 Wiest sisters, celebrate my 25th birthday in the hospital on Sunday :) , AND receive the BEST Christmas present one could ask for!

Brennen and I have been making crafts, learning new songs,

and practicing our counting and letters.

He loves to tell me what signs say while shopping

and driving in the car, reading books,... and while playing at home.

I love how excited he is to learn!
